In the weapons files I have noticed the option Alt weapon which does not work in CoD2 but it did in CoD via the M key. Is there a way for me to do this with CoD2? Maybe have it bound to the shift key instead of melee or the Hold Breath function.

THere is most likely a way. Creating all of the semi auto weapon files. and some scripting to get the feature into call of duty 2. But to do this you just as i said recreat the files and convert them to Semi Auto I will work on this some time soon

Yeah the whole "Altweapon" thing from CoD was a favorite of mine, I miss it in CoD2. I hope someone (maybe even me, I am looking into it) can get it back into this game.

I am currently working on this mod and i will add several other "Favorite" Modding done also.

I shoujld be done by tonight if not tommorow.

Problem is i need to figure out how is how to add in the setting to push a button and have the alt mode.

If anyone knows please tell me


Question to stryder=If i do creat this add in server messages (sprinting from awe) and mustard gas will you run it on your server?

Also for mustard gas if anyone can would you create a model for it that would be appreciated=) Also Please Have the model as a smoke grenade model and have a skull and crossbones on it. (For more skilled people the animation of throwing it also=) Thanks guys!

How far along are you with this whole altweapon thing? I know I gave it a shot. I edited the weapon files of the PPSH, everything neccessary. Then I niticed inside the "iw_00.iwd", inside the "theendlesswinter_mp.cfg" file the entry "bind M "weapalt"." I then put that inside the "config_mp.cfg" file in my active profile for CoD2. But upon pressing the "M" key I got an error that went something like "unknown cmd weapalt". *Sigh*, I noticed a few references to "weap_alt" and "alt_weapon" inside some of CoD's .dll files but by this stage I'm over my head.
