I need to place some custom model into a map for my star wars mod. Please help me out.

When I place the model in the map, it always show the pink box.

Not sure for cod1 radiant...
but maybe u accidently changed the radiant options...
or you missplaced xmodels foilder

so if one then, try finding this box top on radiant and check "skinned"
in that green E button
Thats all i can think.

Actually, it does: to make a collmap, you need to place it in Radiant and place "CLIP" brushes around it.

Here, I'm stuck in first step: add it into Radiant. Radiant shows only a pink box.

In order for the model to appear in radiant you have to have it in a pk3 file. The file should include an xmodel folder along with the skins for the model and parts and script if it's a working model and a bunch of other stuff.

To just do the collision map I guess you could get away with the xmodel and skins for now, but I'm no modder so I'm just guessing. But it does have to be in a pk3 file. Create a folder and name it whatever and place a folder in it called xmodel and another folder called skins, make a pk3 file out of it, place it in your UO folder and that may be enough to get your collmaps.

Not shure if this helps but in cod5 radiant in the top bar,there is a

button called view.

Click it and it shows a menu there is something called entities as

click it and it will give opitions how models show.
