Yes, I remember about 2 years ago I said I am working on a Backlot for COD2, I finally budgeted a month of my time to work and complete a Backlot for COD2, the map is litterly complete, no more work has to be done.

Here is a video of my porting work that I did, very hard work and I am proud of myself for this.

This video is very old footage, the map has since then had multiple fixes and has added one new path to the map to bring new tactics to an old map.

It was ready in radiant actually.

I think the only things u needed to do is to copy the map to COD2 and tranfer all the assets like models textures etc

Nice nice.

I wish it was just that easy. I had to first go into the all the MAP files associated with Backlot, and remove everything that is COD4 related, this was done easily as I had a program that batch removed them for me.

Now loading up into radiant, I had to port all the textures over to Backlot from COD4,Before that I had to rename EVERY texture so I wouldnt have any conflict with any of my previously released maps, also had to remove any COD4 textures that would never work in COD2, HDR Darken, HDR Lighten, LIGHTGRID texture etc.

The dyn-models were also a problem, COD2 does not support dyn models so I had to rename all dyn-models to misc_model so it would show in COD2.

The models were also renamed to prevent conflict, this was the hard part.

The last part was getting the COD4 godrays to work in COD2, this took a couple hours to figure out.

2 months of work.
