Hey Silvershot...

I think I see where you are confused here. I just read the tutorial through and it NEVER mentions after you make the parts of the ladder out of caulk that you highlight the parts and click on a texture to change the look of the ladder to wood or metal or whatever you want it to look like....

....then you make a brush out of the ladder texture and cover the ladder with it. In game the ladder texture is invisible but the ladder you made out of brushes will show up with the texture you put on it.....[wink]

yes I know, but I make the ladder out of wood brushes and then put the ladder texture over that. I think this guy is only using the ladder texture and that is why it is invisible

So basically I can use a wood texture and make my ladder brush( no caulk texture ) and then make another brush that covers the ladder brush? Can I apply the wood texture and then apply on the same brush the ladder texture?

Excellent. Got it ;) So from what I understand, some textures themselves have a specific use and you don't have to give any values in the entity window. Am I right? If yes, can you give me some examples of other textures and their effect? Thanks a lot for helping regarding the ladder, by the way, Bloodletter [thumbs_up]

I was messing with the procedure on how to make a loadscreen and managed to get it working, but the only problem is that when i go to start new server and select my map,i cant see the loadscreen.
I would assume that in order to display something there, i need to do something more ? What am I missing ? My .iwd file is made according the tutorial :)
