I followed this tut, and then Step 15 came...

Now when I try to connect paths, the map goes to the SP menu... not sure why. I did everything exact. In console, only sound errors come up...[sniper]

Ummm, not so sure with this anwer but here I go: I don't know if this makes anything change, but I think you need to edit that script a little bit,

From: main() { maps_uaz::main("vehicle_uaz_light"); maps_load::main(); }



To:
main()
{
maps_uaz::main("vehicle_uaz_light");
maps_load::main();

Now, simply put th way you used your words in your post have several different meanings... Because of this I have to resort to shooting in the dark.

To me it sounds as If your trying to connect the paths in-game. This is not the case, you must connect them in the compiler. If this was what you were doing your post still doesn't make sense as the compiler doesn't bring you to the main menu.

I can't remember if it's reflections or paths or both but the game can return an error from missing assets and/or missing main script file (at least call _load!) from yourmapname.gsc

I should clarify that such an error can send you to the main menu.

You might have too much geometry in your level. Delete some terrain patches or other unneeded buildings.
