I'm trying to put together an SP level and I wanted to have an enemy AI control an MG turret. I want him to just stand at the turret, use it shooting and not move.

I was able to set up a workable turret and placed the enemy next to it. I linked the pathnode to the turret; and linked the enemy to the pathnode.

But the problem is, the enemy doesn't even use the turret. Instead it uses his own weapon. Is there a way to avoid this and just have the enemy use the turret and only the turret?

Make sure you compile paths.

Also make sure there is no obstruction that might null the path node and place another path node near it so the actor knows exactly how to get to the MG.

In game, check errors in console "ai could not find path to goal" should be happening right now.

I checked and found no path errors. I always connect paths when I compile. He still uses his own weapon and not the turret. I made it so simple that he literally stands right next to the turret. I even dont have have pathnodes around him so there is no where else he could go. I attached an image of how I have it set up in Radiant.

np... are you using vista? if you are then u need 2 make another BAT file to compile paths properly

That was it! I'm running 64 bit. I totally forgot to change the map name in the bat file (i was still on an older SP map in the file). thanks
