Well, I got my map to compile (some thin brushes with tree textures on the outside of map caused the problem), and now when I try to play it, it'll get to the end of loading, and then CoD will crash. Well, this is what always happen when I get optimistic... it blows up in my face.

So, any ideas? All I can think of is when I tried to put bunkers in for base assault, knowing me I messed up somewhere and it makes the game crash when it loads. But since it takes forever to compile, I'm not going to test it until I know for surr whether that's causing it or not.

your compile log is what you see running when compiling,in the little black screen.
you can go to your flare on the part just before you start to compile and click flare and then a window will open ,then look for pause click it and at the end of compile it will say press any key,,well dont yet,
go to top of that window and the little button you see on left top click it and go to edit ,,select all ,it will all be high lighted in white, go back up to little button and go down to edit again and copy ,,then put it on a note pad ,there you have it,

as far as your problem ,,do you have doors that open in the map,if you do then delete them and try to comple it again under dif name and see if it will run then,just had thsi problem with a map.
but get compile first so we can ee what is up.

One thing I did notice before I compiled it, is that it said I had NO base assault intermissions, when I do, and as for the rotating doors, I have two of them, but they didn't cause any problems in earlier versions of the map.

Note: The map's only called ja because I haven't thought of a name for it yet.

First off take out all mods amnd maps that are not reg game stuff.
Then make sure you have added death match and team death match spawns and intermissions.

Ok also try to take out all the xmodels you have and compile it to see if it could be one of them.

make sure you rename map to any thing like aa or what ever then. you willnot lose org map file .do some test if no one else comes up with any thing.

Ooohhh! It worked! THANKS!!![eek]

Uhh... one more thing, is there any way I can put in an invisable wall? There appear to be a few ways of getting outside my map, much of which are jumping over the trees.

Ther are a few things you can do,you could create a brush and texture it with "player clip",which you can find in textures common,or do what I do,create a mine field around the edge of your map.Make it go out far enough that there is no way a player can jump off trees or anything else without getting blown up!There is a great tutorial for making them thats real easy in the tutorials section.Hope this helps,happy mapping!
