I have no idea how this happened, but I like it, and would love to know how to actually use it.

I had two patches that I snapped together vert by vert (W), then went on to paint height.

Later on I clicked on one of the two patches and they both highlighted. Somehow, the two patches became welded together as a SINGLE terrain patch.

I have no idea how this happened and I can't re-create it. I have TW selected, I've tried CTRL-SHIFT-J (for tolerant weld) and still can't recreate this.

any ideas? :)

Thanks in advance :D

I'd like to know this too. I welded two patches together before that somehow became one. Did the other side of the room (mirrored/ completly the same) and it was still two patches. Not sure what i did to combine them as one.

to weld 2 patches together just select both patches..Do not press 'v' to show verts but instead press 'w' as if you where welding 2 patches..This should then connect the 2 patches as 1..

hope this helps..

W does this (but not in vertex edit mode like kals said), works for small patches (meaning low amount of columns and rows). however the limit in cod5 radiant is quite high, higher than it was in earlier radiants.

example log:
'weld meshes' added as operation # 5 on top of the undo stack.

note that they have to share vertices (one complete mesh border). this is the case (for instance) if you split a mesh and want to weld them together again.

limit: max 32 edges per border after joining

example log:
Cannot weld patches; new edge size of 49 is bigger than 32
