hi, i want to add fog t my sniper map, but am failing to do so. i've added the line set ExpFog to my gsc file, i haven't got any errrors while compiling, but the fog won't appear. Does anyone know how t solve this problem? i've tried the set CullFog option, but that gives an unknown command error stating the comand set CullFog doesn't exist[confused]

Check this tutorial for the fog, SetExpFog is the command to use for COD4, Cullfog is obsolete (gone even). Note that the tutorial is for CODWaW but the SetExpFog function is the same in COD4

Hello again, thanks for the quick reply. In my case i have set the set ExpFog correctly:

	setExpFog (750, 2880, 0.8, 0.8, 0.8, 0);

}


it still won't appear ingame, not a slightest hint of of a fog. the overall width of the map is around 4000 ingame units, therefore the 2880 units to 50% fog should be enough to ensure a bit camouflaged spawning, but it's as bright as ever [confused]

When in the game using /devmap check the "r_fog" make sure it isnt set to 0. I had a case where i could not see my sun file in game, it was because i had disabled it for testing and the setting was saved in my mp_config.cfg.

tnx, it works now :) only thing to do is decrease the sunlight tremendously, it's way too bright to be having this amount of fog :P
