Hi all,

I am trying to make handrailing to go along a walkway

I draw a brush then I go to patch/primitives and choose cylinder. Well all goes except the end of the cylinder is hollow and no texture can be applied to the end to cap it off.

I remember making these in cod4 and not having this problem.

I remember putting 2 pieces together and then using the clipper tool to 45 degree them together and they would look nice. Now when I try to use the clipper tool on a cylinder it just deselects it and will not let me cut. I'm not sure if something is set up differently in radiant for cod5 or Im just completely forgetting how I did it before.

Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks

Select your Cylinder then go to
Patch >> cap
It will add two end caps to your cylinder (top and bottom) using the texture you have selected, also the caps are 2 separate objects, so they are not defaultly attached to the cylinder.

Thank you that allowed me to finish my railings.

I have one more quick question, Is there a way that you can make a cylinder and then be able to make cuts through it?
