I followed both the Treyarch wiki and Hercules tuts and got my zombie map working, sort of... the problem is that the zombies just spawn and then fall over dead after like 2 seconds. I can kill them and get points, but they do not move, or attack me when I'm in their face. I triple checked my nodes and none of them are overlapping with any other brushes. I re-read over the Navigation Overview and still am stumped. How do you get the zombies to move and attack? Is there something more than placing nodes and defining their entity variables? (and placing zombies and their variables)

i had this problem my solution was make sure you have the zombie window prefabs facing the right way.

I had the prefabs facing the right way, but I decided to delete them and try it, which only partially works. If I run up to a certain radius of the zombie, they'll become hot on my trail, but if I stay further away from them, they stop and start shaking their heads. I have my nodes 128 units apart, and I tried doubling them so that they were only 64 units apart, but it still only half works.

Also, "ai_shownodes 1" doesn't seem to do anything...

Will keep trying to figure it out [idea]

What they do first is their objective, If you go outside your playable area and walk in front of they, they will just walk by you. but once they have destroyed the wall/Boards they will come for you and say you only pathnodes in a room, and you go into the room next to it with no pathnodes, they will just stand at there limit until you get close to them and they acknowledge your there and they will leave their pathnode range to get you.

Okay, got them to chase me finally. I must be doing something wrong with the placement of the traverse prefabs... I'm placing them over an unusual object. And the reason why zombies would stop sometimes was dependent on whether I went behind a tiny brush that I had missed when deleting my traverse section. Sensitive little AI they are.

Now on to fixing the traverses!
