Hello,

I didn't know where to post this so I post it here lol.

I'm back after a period coz I'm now working for a company as a mapper.

Now I have a short question for modsonline. :) We need to make new textures, since we can't use the textures of other games. I need to find some good ones for my stuff. All the sites I have found so far weren't good enough (eg too less stuff or just not seamless).

We are also planning to start making them ourselves but that is not an option right now coz it will take too much work (since we need masses of them ;p)

thx

i been making textures for years. there are many great ways to make textures the best by far is simply buy a digital camera drive around and take as many pictures of walls and well every thing that catches your eye. best way would to be make sure your camera is square to the thing you want to take a picture of do not use flash and try to take pictures of stuff that is not in sun light. then open adobe or what ever you use. two import things about textures make sure there seamless and make sure to use the proper sizes which are variations of 8,16,32,64,128,256,512 and 1024 "1024 is rarely used"

the other way is to surf the net if your good enough with adobe you can pull a texture from all most any image you see. a great source is sites like home depot or lowes lumber yards and that stuff have great on line catalogs of doors windows stones etc...

if you have more questions pm me..
