so i manage to put a smoke fx on my map and i was wondering if theres anyway to change the angle of the smoke? because my pipe is facing north to south but my smoke is blowing from west to east and also wanted to know if having this smoke repetead, could that affect performance?

Im a noob at fx but have you tryed to rotate the fx in the level editor

oh i figured it out already i should of search b4 i posted this. Other topics were opened with this similar question. heres a link to one of them:

pretty much, from wat i understood, you have to have ur starting coordinates and then add a 2nd coordinate which is where it is pointing at(ending at). Rebuilding ur FF with yourmapname_fx.gsc . Maker sure that you have this in your missing assets b4 u rebuild ur FF:

rawfile,maps/mp/mp_yourmapname.gsc
rawfile,maps/mp/mp_yourmapname_fx.gsc


and if you see that ur fx is going the opposite way from wat u intended then simply make ur 2nd coordinate ur first and ur first ur 2nd, rebuild ur FF and i think it should be working fine now.This is wat i have in mymapname_fx.gsc:

so those 3 that start with maps\mp\_fx::loopfx wat they do is they loop that one effect that i have called into 3 different areas. the areas are called within the following brackets. With the first set of brackets being the beginning of the fx and the 2nd set of brackets being the ending of the fx. hope that helps.
