Something I could never figure out while doing my SP_Backlot map and now this problem really plagues me on my SP_Paradise map since it's vehicle centric... the collmaps for vehicles don't get compiled into map.

I have my collmaps in the root directory in a folder called "collmaps".
The collmap has the same name as the vehicle model I'm using.
Inside the collmap are clip_nosight_metal brushes, with a misc_model of the vehicle for reference.

Compiler always spits out warnings that it can't find the collmap for any of the vehicles in my map.

Anyone have any ideas or have successfully gotten stuff from the collmaps folder compiled into your map during the CoD2BSP process.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I think I had this problem couple of months ago.

Whatever I did, I can now use collmaps. I've so many things between now and then, but vaguely I remember moving collmaps into the raw folder. I'm not sure, I'll check when I get back. See if you can get collmaps working by moving the folder into the raw folder.

i did manage to get the collision for vehicles when using a script_model rather that script_vehicle..

If I use script_model I'll have to script up all the vehicle stuff then, right, I wouldn't be able to pass them through the vehicle utilities.

As for the collmaps, I had also heard that the engine doesn't compile collmaps anymore, but that wouldn't make sense since IW included the vehicle collmaps in that folder.

A remedy I'm using at the moment is linking a script_brushmodel of collision to each vehicle via script.

Can't possibly be true... either that or I got lucky. Collmaps are working for me, or at least it seems through other methods of which I am not aware.
