I have followed the tutorial from this site for SP Allied AI movement and keep getting the following runtime error:

Friendly Chain node "auto1" does not exist

The node auto1 is a cover_crouch node and it DOES exist. In my map I have a AI Trigger that has classname trigger_friendlychain. I have the AI allied troops targeting my info_player_start. I then have the AI Trigger targeting the first node, auto1, and have auto1 targeting auto2 and so on. Unfortunately I keep getting this error when I run the map. I did friendly chains in COD dozens of times and had no problem and with UO I just can't seem to get it right. Anyone know what I am doing wrong.

Thanks!

It is the same as cod.
May seem like a stupid question but did you actually define the trigger as "target" "auto 1" and the node as "targetname" "auto 1" with "target" "auto 2"
and connect them in the correct order by selecting the trigger then the node and pressing control k ?
May seem obvious but it happens.
Just a question.

Yes, I did use the Control-K technique to connect the AI trigger to the first node, then the first node to the second and so on. I did notice that in COD you could just place the nodes and they would automatically be named like "auto1", "auto2", etc. However, with UO, they are named by default to your PREFIX that you set in your preferences and the node changes color when you explicitly set the targetname to something else. Don't know if I need to explicitly name each node or simply let the Control K process named them for me. I appreciate your feedback. I will try a new test with a very simple map and see what happens. Thanks!

I was having a problem with the auto targeting in uo also, except for mp. i fixed it by simply making my own targetnames, and targeting them manually. This helped me, maybe it will work for you. In my opinion, it is best to just avoid the ctrl + k method, and do it manually.
