Well, i have some triggers that are in a range, they are trigger_damage and im trying to change it so each of them has a diferent targetname, but when i change one of there targetnames, all of them (i have 10 triggers) change... wth?

i want to make it so that each trigger opens a diferent door, and i cant because if i change one of their targetnames (such as key: targetname value: door1_trigger), all of the triggers get that key and value.

The only reason i could think of for this, is if you have your triggers linked (welded with w) to something (ie say you had 10 different triggers all targeting a script_brushmodel)

Even this sounds a littel strange though. First thing you could check is you dont have them all selected, may sound silly but its easy to do.

Yeah, i i dont have them all selected, but after i enter an key and value and i check if it entered on all of them and hit cntrl + z, all of them will be highlighted like i just edited all of them...

I have a button called welds equal patch points during moves selected, i dont know what it means but you said something about welds.

By weld i mean connecting two things, in your case it would be a trigger.. doesn't matter though trying to understand that will get you confused..

Also i myself have a habit of using windows shortcuts (ctrl z to undo etc) but its not always a good idea and can lead to errors.

All i can suggest is individually select and give the values, not much more i can say. Maybe someone else has had this problem and knows a solution. sorry i can't be of much more help.

I just re-did all the triggers, and it works now, not too big of a deal.

it could have been that you had them all selected when you turned them into a script_brushmodel.

i think your mistaken m8 i just tried everyway possible to come up with same scenario and it was impossible...

i think thats happening is this. your changing the name of one and the entity editor is still open then your selecting the other and it still shows the previous one m8.... deselct everything then make sure the entity editor is closed... select ur other entity then press n x 2 i betcha its diff from the first one u changed hope it works for ya m8
