Twin Ridge for CoD4 is now released. It is now in rotation on After-Hourz server 2 (cod2.after-hourz.com)

It can also be manually downloaded HERE

Supports all stock gametypes and CTF for the AWE4 mod

Since as the IW forum is down again, and it wasn't long since I posted my message Ill repost it here too. I'm gonna have too rewrite it tho

When the south crossing (which is what I'm calling it ), is closed only 1 side gets bushes, the other gets an invisible wall, which is a bit odd.

In the picture below the bush above A bomb is clipped a bit far away from the bush (you get stuck on nothing), also in front of the building below A bomb(with barrels in) there are some small bushes, some are clipped and some are not.

Minefields on the inside of the map and the outside areas that are close (marked purple in the picture), could have maybe some small fences or barbed wire so its less easy to tread on, also the signs near the edges arent clipped so you can stand in them.

ATM the bomb on SD is potentially too far away from the players spawn, and the players spawn quite far away from the bomb site, yet the bombs are very close together.



I think you should change the defender and attacking spawns, and keep the attacking player spawn close-ish together in front of the house.

Domination, would it be possible to have the tunnels open for domination and closed for conquest. Now the loosing team gets pinned in because their spawns will be linked to the remaining flags and they loose even worse because they start to spawn in 1 area. If the tunnel was open they could defend the one flag and attack the others buy moving through the tunnel.

Manhole covers don't look round lol, not that it bothers me much.

Is the area in the middle portaled same with the tunnel system? It might be but it wasn't working properly for me when I typed /r_lockpvs 1.

Thanks Yeti. Excellent observations and suggestions. I will consider each for the final release which will include cnq once the code is released by Tally. I don't know how old the version of the map you are running is. In the current release the the only sd ents that are where you show are the nukes. You can find the latest release in the after-hourz download section HERE
I did notice on a crowded server running sd I was visiting, that one of the allies ran into the minefield after spawning and killed a good portion of his team. While I found it amusing, I also realized how frustrating it could be and moved the entire spawn group. That was about a month ago. I am convinced you have an old version.
As far as the portalling in the middle you're dead on. The tunnels were a late addition and since they did not seem to hamper performance I chose not to portal there. If you realize a performance problem because of that, I will surely revisit that decision.

Really good looking map though and plays well in hq,dm/tdm
