ok, this model was working before....although the textures all looked black. But now the model doesnt even show up anymore. What gives??



The model shows up in the wireframe, but not in the 3d view cam.

Check your filters to make sure entities are being drawn. Also check you didn't hit one of the hotkeys on the top user bar that hides models.

It wasnt even compiling in my map. I dunno...I re-exported my model with AssMan, and now it shows up again, but Im still at basic problem #1.

Model is complete black. As if there are no textures. In Radiant however they show up. Why dont they show in the final compiled version??

What kind of shading/texturing should I be using for Maya exactly?? Can I use jpegs for the textures?? Do they have to be DDS? Do I have to edit the xmodel_export file with a text editor?? This is all so crazy and not simple. The skills and creativity should be the hard part. Using these tools should be easier. Why isnt Infinity Ward giving us tutorials on making this stuff?? They obviously used the exact same tools to build the game. What gives??? [mad]
