THis isnt anywhere in FAQ....I went to play COD4 tonight. Ever since I started mapping and checking out my map....this is the artifacts I got when testing my map.



So I thought maybe I was doing something wrong in my map. Problem is...this problem is now is when I tried playing regular COD4 tonight. My game is all messed up. Someone please help me!!!

i would try removing everything about your map and see if that fixes it. did you put your spawn point in the sky box wall, that's almost what it looks like. not much we can do to help you with this.

Check video settings? Reinstall cod4? Just save your profiles.

Maybe it thinks you have a PS3, and is trying to do splitscreen

i undestand it's not just your map. but the thing is that sometimes the things you do in your map can cause a conflict with the game. since you first noticed it with your map and then you found it in your game, it is reasonable to assume that your map is affecting the game. wich is why i suggested removing all traces of your map from the game files to see if that would fix it

i had once those exact same artifacts.
i clean the video card and fans out of dust, and bam, no more artifacts, and higher fps.
it may also be a driver too old or bad ?

Solved the problem...and sorry, but shyte like this annoys me in development. Somehow...my config file got messed with. Thankfully I had a backup of it since I tweaked my stsem to run better...so I replaced my config_mp.cfg file...and everything works great now, no artifacts.

So lesson #1 kiddies.....change the properties of your config_mp.cfg file to Read Only so it wont be overwritten by these codtools.

Thanks for the help people. Im glad it was such a simple fix in the end, instead of a total re-install.
