I don't know, but I don't think you will have to reinstall cod4.

Maybe you deleted the original shader_bin folder too by accident?

Nah i double checked all the locations before deleting, i still have a copy in the original folder, and just to test i put another copy back into the prefabs folder but still wont load it so im thinking its gonna have to be a re install.
Wont do it yet though as i have a few official matches to play in soon and dont wanna risk screwing up the game, will post again once things are sorted then maybe i can get this damn map finished lol.

Ok, i managed to reinstall the modtools, applied the patch and then re opened my map and voila i could see the models i had placed finally but..... i still cant load any new models or see any previews for them
I then tried to compile a friends map for them as they had trouble with it and no luck for me either and now my game will only open in a window and not full screen like it should
so it looks like im going to have to reinstall my game now.
If anyone would like to try and create this map, cause i think it would be a good one if done properly, i'd love to see it but for now i'm gonna give the tools a miss until such a time when i hear reoprts of everything working fine or i reformat my pc and start from scratch.

Game fixed now changing fullscreen from 0 to 1 in config, thankfully.
