So in recent days, everyone has started talking about the world cup. Now me being american, I have never payed much attention to it. But for some reason, or maybe it is just me...there seems to be a big deal about this thing! All I know about the world cup is that it is soccar (football)! So someone fill me in on who is going to win, and what not so I can look smart and be able to hold a convo. Heck I might even watch a match or 2. How are the american looking this year as well?

This World Cup is pretty much the first one in 70 years the US team actually has any chance whatsoever of winning a couple games.

From what I've heard, the German team is the favorite, but the US team is supposed to be very strong this year.

The World Cup is an actual sporting event with "World" in the title, where other country`s than America actually play *cough* World Series *cough*.

Cant say im Interested in it at all even tho this is the first time in a number (40 i think) that Australia have had a team in the cup. Im much more of an AFL man my self
