Hey everyone, I'm making an RE map set in Bakara Market. I have a codebook in a large building that needs to be captured by the allies. Now, here's where I'm lost. I've watched Wyatt's RE vid 5 times and I still don't understand what I'm doing [confused] . I have the trigger/origin brushes, but I don't understand what they are used for or where they should go. Also, I have no idea what to put in the .gsc file. so far I have the basic:
main()
{
mapsmp_load::main();

game["allies"] = "american";
game["axis"] = "german";

game["american_soldiertype"] = "airborne";
game["american_soldiervariation"] = "normal";
game["german_soldiertype"] = "fallschirmjagercamo";
game["german_soldiervariation"] = "normal";

game["attackers"] = "allies";
game["defenders"] = "axis";
}

But now I need to add the Retrieval scripts, so if anyone can link me or let me know what to put, I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks for your time.

The retrieval gametype works by having one team take an objective (codebook, radio, whatever) and bringing it back to a location specified on the compass as a blue box.

That blue box is composed of a trigger brush, and an origin brush located inside the trigger brush. They both must have been made trigger_multiple at the same time.

The codebook is a script_model, and it will appear at whatever locations you specified (represented by mp_retrieval_objective boxes).

The mp_retrieval_objective boxes are all the locations where the codebook could potentially appear.

The trigger_use which is composed of a trigger brush on top of an origin brush, is so that you can pick up the codebook.

The script_origin is for Linux systems which can crash if you don't specify it. It's for spectators.

Take a look at the following link... it will explain the necessary gsc file stuff:
