You tell me. You'd think that would be the first thing the RIAA would have done. |

Yes I'm sure Sherman is going to be able to dry up the cash reserves of 5 multi-billion dollar companies, and get that judgement through the appeals court. I know I'm playing devil's advocate, but it's realistic. |

Quote (6of1 @ Sep. 28 2003, 4:26 am) | You know it is suits like this that will ultimately get the govt in place as the tracker of these thieves, instead of private organizations. And since they can be exempted from things like end user agreements and prohibitions against reverse engineering in order to track and capture thieves (just as they do in the regular 'analog' world - ie wiretaps, search warrants, etc etc), all this means is private property owners will put more and more pressure on the govt to do something about such property rights violations because they as individuals cannot.
So rooting against the RIAA is ultimately rooting FOR the Justice Dept (along with the FBI, and all state and local govts) to come in and do the same thing (or worse).
So keep at it - you will get what you deserve in the end. ;) |
I normally wouldnt. But I hate the RIAA with a passion, not for their priciples, which I believe are correct, but for their method of operation.
Why is it only MUSIC makers that want to prosecute anyway? |
