am brining together some new stuff for a mod am hopefully planning for ef2 and was wondering. how would u go about doing new moves for characters.

liek would u have to code the move to a button press etc .

obviously i no about the animation etc.

maybes u have o code the button press so that once u press it it activates the movement in question?

any thoughts?

i was just thinking how like there havne;t been any brand new mods for ef1. the clsoest would be neural links mods. but they use all the same charcrters etc.

am hoping to do a completely new one, new chars, weapons, maps etc. but then i thought to do a new mod would be big in size, where as neurals used all existing skins , chars and that . mine would be all new. and was just thinking it would be big in file size possibly liek 100mb or something.

just a thought.

If you want NPCs to do stuff like press buttons, you need to learn the scripting language.  Whatever it is, it's proprietary, so you'll have to wait for the EF2 GDK.

Ahh... I depends on how their animation system is setup, but you'll probably need some kind of (probably expensive) modeling software.

Oops ... You may be right :s10:  I was wondering at first which game he was talking about but since we don't even know if there will be released any src for EF2, then I instantly assumed it was EF1. This may helpful for someone else anyway.
