It also might not be worth it, cause I doubt anyone cares about this idea but me.  But anyway.

What if, for MP, when friendfire is off (or is it ON when you can kill your teammates?), each character says automatically the random lines that the characters in single player say when you shoot at your crew (what are you doing? stop shooting - it's me! whose side are you on anyway? that's it! hold your fire! etc).  

In addition to this, characters in MP will be able to say their 'greeting' or 'busy' lines when you press USE on the character (you have to be close enough - not sure if it will work if you have an item), except for the ones that just wouldn't make sense (can't you see I'm busy?  I'll be on the bridge if you need me. are you trying to sabotage engineering by wasting my time?).

Also, maybe you could be able to bind any loaded taunt to certain keys, or a bunch to one key and a bunch to another, so you always have the rotation you want.  For example, taunts like 'nice shot if I do say so myself' are meant for after a frag.  But if you are shooting at someone, or when you have died, such a taunt does not make sense.  If I'm Chakotay lets say and I want to taunt when I've died.  "They don't teach that at the academy" makes sense while as "that's why they call me #1" does not.  You could be able to have one key for 'victory' taunts, one for 'failure' taunts, and one for 'miscillanious'.

I'm not sure how easy this would be to do, but I think it would add alot of personality and fun to holomatch.  And in the case of team members killing you, if they are behind you or something, and you hear 'stop shooting - it's ME!' from your character, you know it was one of your people for sure.

lol @ HorckDude  :)

The mod itself shouldn't be too hard to implement (especially now that there is the SP source out.) You could probably do it with a basic knowledge of C, as well as an idea of the structure of the source code.

Ooooh.  Heh.  Uh, hate to disappoint you people, but I don't how to make mods.  C and source code?  Ahh!  Keep me away from confusing computer code.... I'm no programmer.... I thought of the idea, but I don't know to make it.... Would be cool though.

But I am making a very BASIC patch with some new taunts.  Cause I was told all it takes it putting them together and making it a pk3 file - which I'll get help to do.
