The usermaps option can work too, but since your FF files are already in your Raw files, why bother moving them every time you want to test your map? [duh]

i dont replace the ff files in usermaps/mp_mapname everytime
only after first compile and before release
this way i dont clutter my mod folders with all kind of iwd's

other wise i have to copy all iwd's to awe,ace extreme(you name it) to test the map with a mod

Ah, makes more sense. Granted though one map has only "one" iwd. Or you could just move your existing IWD to the mod you need to test it with for final release instead of making duplicates. [wink]

I just never saw the point to even using the Usermaps folder unless you are the "Server" hosting or client "Connecting". Been mapping COD4 for a while now, and my game doesn't even have a Usermaps folder.

As long as it works right?! [thumbs_up]

lol now i can select from several mods during testing without closing the game and copy/paste the IWD arround
