How to create a friendly chain
Versions: You must be logged in to view history.
Here I will explain how you create a friendlychain for Call of Duty 2 Single Player. By Hoesjma

OK let's go,

You make a few friendly actors let's say 5.

Then you make the player (Right mouse on 2D grid -> info -> player_start)

Now just make a friendlychain around the player, it doesn't need to be massive but just a small square covering the whole player (ALSO IN HEIGHT!)

Now, select the player and bring up the entity window by pressing N.

Put as key: targetname and as value: whateveryouwant

Then, select all the 5 actors (just select them with Shift and Left mouse button) and bring up the entity window again.

Put as key: target and as value: the name you entered as key on the player.

Now 5 red lines from every actor should be connected to the player.

Select the player again and connect a node (Select + W), now connect every node with the node you connected with the player to make your actors able to move to those nodes.

So just select that node you connected and select another one and connect them, then connect another node and connect that one as well. Go on like that and you're done. Make sure you don't connect the nodes with just 1 node there must be 1 line, the order how you connect them doesn't matter as long as they are connected.

Then, when you start your map your actors will move to an action node you connected and sit there (they can switch positions and will do this sometimes).

Then we make the next chain, which means when you walk through this chain your actors will move to the action nodes which belong to that chain.

Right click on 2D grid and create a friendlychain again, but make this one big enough to make sure you do hit it.

Then select the last node you connected from your 1st chain (this node is not targeting any other node)

With the last node selected, connect it with the 2nd friendlychain.

With the 2nd chain selected, connect that one with the nodes you made for this one. So that means when you hit the 2nd chain, your actors will move to their 2nd action node.

Don't connect your actors with any nodes, they will move ;)

Hope I helped you guys out :)
