Alias/Wavefront, developers of MAYA, have decided to slash prices dramitcally. MAYA is a 3D modeling tool similar to 3d Studio max and Lightwave. The company stated that they have sropped prices to compete with 3d studio and this means that we could start seeing them in the gaming world one day soon. A copy of Maya used to go for about $7500 and will sell for $1999 beginning April 4. That is quite a price drop.
