ok,so,i made a custom texture for my cod4 map,its a banner,and in radiant it shows up perfectly,but in game it just shows up white? anyone have any ideas?

create an .iwd file. If u dont know how to do that create a folder on your desktop called mp_mapname inside make two folders one called material and one called images. Next go to raw/materials and find the file called "texturename" (for example) copy it and put it in the material folder u just made. After go into raw/images and copy the file called "texturename" (for example) and put in the images folder u just made. Now go into winrar highlight your folder and click on add. Now u rename mp_mapname.rar to mp_mapname.iwd. Next create a folder in your usermaps folder called mp_mapname and cut the .ff and the _load.ff file from your zone/english and put them in your usermaps/mp_mapname folder once u have done that copy the iwd u just made and put it in there. You should now have in your usermaps/mp_mapname folder mp_mapname.ff, mp_mapname_load.ff and mp_mapname.iwd If that is all in there just load up cod4 click on mods and choose a mod. After that open console and type /map mp_mapname. hope it works for ya. :-D

Create a new folder called "images" on your desktop. Copy all .iwi files of your own textures from "COD 4/raw/images" to this new folder.

"Zip" the folder images on the desktop, rename it to mp_yourmapname.iwd, and put this .iwd file into the folder mods/custommaps. (using Winrar or Winzip to Zip the files)

In the CompileTools check the box beside "Use Custom Command Line Options" and then enter the following in the box below:

+set fs_game mods/custommaps

k,before i go any further with this,my image "NAME".dds is in my sorce_data folder and i dont have and my "NAME.iwi IS in my images folder...do i still put the .dds from my source_data folder in my mp_mapname folder on desktop?,sry didnt want to mess it up then come here and ask like a hundered times,thx.

btw i tried your option and it messed the crap out of my map,the colors where rainbow,the image was invisable and the lighting was extremly light.can i ask a question,in cod4 compile tools,under bsp options,do i add the line +set fs_game mods/custommaps to that,then compile???

Here are the settings an locations I use when I compile and test my textures in a map.
When I've finished compiling the BSP, Reflections, and Build Fast File I then just click "Run Selected Map."

how can I get this to work on singleplayer maps with custom textures?? I cant get it to work with the mods folder. I thought I had to put hte IWD in the main folder but that doesnt work either.

Help :(
