Followed minimap tutorial doesn't work. Ready to try and get this map done but I can't get past this tutorial for making a minimap. For starters the Pic doesn't match the instructions. Sigh.

To be exact this line makes no sense because the pic doesn't even reflect what was said in the tutorial.

I noticed the pic did not match the instructions also...I placed my files according to the pic...& my minimap is working...

I did too and it's not working. I'm used to f'd up unverified tutorials in cod4.

are u able to get your screenshot & save as correct size tga?
save the tga in materials folder?
convert using assman with settings matched to pic, color map pointed to tga in materials folder?
After convert : save AS "compass_map_mp_mapname", save IN "texture assets"...
your iwi is created in raw/images folder?
Add your iwi into a folder u create called images, then ZIP this folder (DO NOT USE RAR) ZIP named "mp_mapname.iwd"
Put this zip into a mod folder of your choice & run the map from that mod...

also, make sure this lin is in your gsc: maps\mp\_compass::setupMiniMap("compass_map_mp_mapname");
& this line is added in your zone update: material,compass_map_mp_mapname

& this line in your gsc is to zoom in or out the minimap: setdvar("compassmaxrange","1500"); rise the # to zoom out & lower the # to zoom in..

U r making sense... Ok, this images folder, you mean under Raw.. if so there are already a bunch of files here like arab_regular_helmet etc... do I just zip that one file?

I have zip called mp_bunker.iwd and I put it in the mods/ModWarfare directory...

Did everything you said, it made the gdt file everything yet now im back to the cant find image or minimap map_mp_bunker...

Yes the file came out fine, I saved it 24bit tga etc in photoshop

Copy only the compass_map_mp_bunker.iwi(if that is the name of your map)into a new folder that u create named images..then ZIP that folder that u made..

Yep I only compressed that file in a directory called images... so when i open the iwd in winzip, i see images and inside that i see the iwi file.

Cant find image when trying to run map?? u need to run the map from that mod folder, so in compile in the custom commads add this line: "set fs_game mods/modwarfare" (no quotes) & check that box, this will load your map in that mod where your iwd. is..
