Ive been playing around in radiant for years, Trying to learn how to do it. Up until recently, i didn't have the patience to actually FINISH anything (due to the unstable nature radiant always had with me)

I have three questions that I couldn't find a tut or forum post about, probably because they are simple newbie questions.

First is about light. Ive always had this problem and im not sure if its the way im actually building things or light settings/positioning. What do I need to do so that light doesnt "bleed" through the edges of brushes, like the top and bottom of walls within a building.

Second Question. I found a couple of things that remotely talk bout this but I can't decipher if its what I need or not. Is there a way to make a light "point" like a flashlight/spotlight. So that its a cone of light that illuminates something at the end of the cone but not near the origin.

Last question. Multiplayer Spawns. What exactly do I need to put in as far as spawns so I can at least test the map myself. No matter what I put in (and I put in one of each of all the gametype spawns) When I go to test it in the compiler it says "No spawn points" and doesnt load the map.

Try to test the map in cod4 not with the compiler...

Type this in console:
/sv_pure 0
/g_gametype dm (or what gametype u want to have, is not really necessary )

after this load ur map:
/map mp_mapname

i also had some problem running my test map trough the compiler hope this works for u..

Make sure the light is not inside the wall/ceiling.
Also make sure the wall/ceiling are an exact fit.
(Zoom in on 2d with mouse wheel, if not fitting properly,
hit [ to decrease or ] to increase the scale of brush.
Then line them up)

Easy. Right click on the 2d (left) field and select
MP>TDM> SPAWN (i only have one of these, not sure if it effects any actual spawns)
then add
MP>TDM>SPAWN>ALLIES SPAWN
once you position your allies spawn, shift-left click on it
and hit space, then just move that a few spaces next to original.
(have at least 10 allies spawns)
then add
MP>TDM>SPAWN>AXIS SPAWN
do the same as for allies. copy it 9 times and position it around
the original spawn.

Default map loads in TDM game mode. So you need those TDM spawns. Copy your DM spawns all over the map as well.
