Any news on these kinds of mods yet?

I'm just looking for something that'll have all skins, attachments, perks and weapons unlocked, and be able to have persistent custom slots so players don't have to remake their characters at the beginning of every round, or when they rejoin the server. Don't need any kind of levelling up system - just want a level playing field for all people who join our server

I thought about giving it a go myself, but I really can't be arsed with anything CoD4 related lol

If you look in the tut's should be there
custom mods will give you allweapons all perks but not skins yet ,working on it ,maybe soon

nothing in the tutorials i can see specific to this, unless you mean how to set up a modded server, which is pretty straightfoward.

I'm just surprised this mod doesnt already exist, or even part of the stock modwarfare mod. The skins aren't important, but persistent custom slots would be nice. Can make do with the normal modwarfare mod and put up with constant switching for now, I guess.

Had a quick look at the DAMN and BJustReal mods. I'll look into them more closely later. In BJustReal's default settings, does it change any aspects of CoD4's gameplay - I don't want to mess about changing cvars to get it back to stock settings, and does it modify any of the weapons?

you have to open the iwd mod, and make a weapon folder, in it a mp folder,
then you add your stock, or modded files,
then your weapons will work
