Did you know that the prime numbers decrease in number for every 100th?
Do they eventually stop?

And is there a equation that would let you know how many prime numbers there are, less a one?

Answer that and you win an international multimillion prize.

no.  1 is a whole number.  .999(repeating forever) is not.

Yeah  - they don't even look like each other.  One is all straight and the other is all curvy and stuff.   I bet they aren't even related.

The more .9999999999 you have
The more .0000000001 you need to make it 1  (more 0's)

so the more .9999 you have the lesser the difference between 1.
So as you approach infinity it makes no difference, depending on what you need the number for.

Calculating degrees between galaxy's?
Or calculating degrees between atoms.

get it>?

The best way I can figure it, is that the math system we use does not account for the existence of infinity. That's understandable, considering that the human mind can't really comprehend it.

It's the same as questioning whether or not there are more numbers between 0 and 2 then there re between 0 and 1. On one hand, there are numbers between 0 and 2 that are not there between 0 and 1 (for example 1.5), but on the other hand, there are infinite numbers between 0 and 1, and you can't have more than infinity. Thus, logic can be used to argue both sides.

It's not perfect, but it's best we have.

the thing is you just CANT work with infinity (in maths) as you can with any real number, it just doesnt work.
