Same group that couldn't get through Harvard if you spotted them everything except crossing the stage to pick up the diploma.

Too funny... too funny.

Okay... all those bashing Bush please list anything of note that you have accomplished in your life.

Okay... those bashing forum members please list anything of note that you have accomplished in your life.

I might get an honorary life achievement award for business:

28 years mid-level sales exec. fortune 500 company.

Civic:  created/ generated funding for  9 thru 18 yr. olds,  baseball organization for gifted youth.

5 bedroom colonial house near golf course.

Two sons.  One graduated, successful career.  Owns his own home at 23 (which he financed).

2nd son in his senior year.  3.4 cum.

Married 36 years, same woman.

(well, that's pretty good by most standards.)

I certainly don't claim to be smarter than Bush.

I might have made it through the Harvard business school, but maybe not.

I am certainly smart enough not to claim Bush is stupid.

Okay.. and this means what?

See, let me whip mine out...

I have two masters degree.  One is a MA in East Asian Studies from University of Washington - on par with Harvard when it comes to Asian studies.   I had to learn Chinese fluently to get that degree.

I have also recently recieved an MBA (where my fellow students decided to call me the "valedictorian" becasue of my contributoins to their learning).   I helped lay the foundations of  and grow that business school that has gone from 16 students to over 100 in 4 years and was in the black by year 4.

Prior to all that, I received a BS in Physics from the University of Connecticut.

I have managed multi-million dollar software distribution and support channels.

I am currently starting a company to provide affodable and health housing in the Northwest.

I am adopting a child this year.

I own a 5 bedroom house and don't play golf.

I even went to the hairdresser with my 86 year old mother in law last week and had my hair done with her.

I am not yet 40.

I reserve the right to question our political leaders intelligence but I will always try and extend a little respect to those I want to have a conversation with.  Sometime even when they don't deserve it because, you never know what may come out of that conversation.  You may learn something....

So - where the #### does that get us?

Edit:   The Nintendo thing was obviously a clever marketing ploy.  It's getting the Nintendo game a bit of press... at Satirical Target...um I mean Commander in Chief's expense.

Edit: too many spelling erros

Frankly...attacking the man's politics is one thing. All the jokes about him being dumb and so forth...that's just nasty, IMO. There’s no need for it.

Wow, I feel the love...

See the problem here is that it's not about intelligence.  A man can go to whatever university he wants and get every single masters it offers but that doesn't make him intelligent, just knowlegable.
Obviously Bush is smart enough to get himself into office.  However I don't feel he's a good speaker especially when he's asked a question he's not prepared for.  He may have a good education, but that doesn't mean he can quickly make a decision or come up with something well said in under 5 seconds.  I know I can't.  The game, however, can help him speed up his thinking reaction time so that when he is required to make a decision in the span of 10 seconds, he can think about all his options and come to a better solution within that time.   Every politician should have one.

"Same group that couldn't get through Harvard if you spotted them everything except crossing the stage to pick up the diploma."

I still like my line.

Obviously humorous.  Obviously hyperbole.

And most of all, obviously directed to the people that posted in this thread before m -  that historically, should understand the tenor of such posts.

It does continue to stun me the uncontrolled bashing that goes on around here... followed by such thin skins.

...........

Oh, and Pork....  At 40, best start piling up the 401k.  And, at the cost of goods today, we give million dollar discounts to small suppliers, so you can imagine the cost of goods these days (what with direct ship product factored at a delivered price).

"Okay.. and this means what?"

Sorry there Porker, missed this.

What does it mean you ask.  Are you saying that you can't grasp what it means.  Your resume is quite cryptic with the second Masters and such and the support channels thingie.  But that is okay.  It certainly shows a personally satisfying 40 years.  And I think its great you want to slap up some low income housing... Is it next to yours.

I am sorry,  it does make one intelligent.

One can be intelligent and lack compassion.

One can be intelligent and lack verbal skills.

Intelligence is related to various types of reasoning skills.

Personally, I think relationship skills (ability to emotionally identify and persuade) is an intelligent factor.

But, as we know, there are very intelligent, cold blooded, serial killers.

I think Bush and Kerry were both very bright people... but at opposite ends verbally.  However, if you read the words they actually said (instead of listening to them), Bush was plain speaking and Kerry had a tendency to run way off topic with unrelated facts.

The exact same thing happened in the Kennedy - Nixon debates.
