Hello all,
Lately, a lot of people have been visiting modsonline with the sole purpose of asking for someone "to do a mod for them". This is quite annoying, and I'd like to write some kind of FAQ to prevent this. Although I have a rough idea of what should be in there, the details remain a bit vague. I'd like your help on this.

Q: Can I ask people to do a mod for me?
A: You can always try, but please clarify this request in your topictitle. Do not get your hopes up though.

Q: Does this mean that people wont help me anymore?
A: No, not at all, it just means that we [scripters] are getting a bit tired of pushing scripts out towards people who put absolutely no effort into scripting themselves, without getting any reward of any kind for it.

Q: So, I'd like to have a zombiemod which works with [insert random other mod]. What should I do?
A: There are a lot of tutorials here on Modsonline, but also on other forums, like codjumper. Try to read through them, and make a basic mod. If you get stuck somewhere, we are willing to help. But try it yourself first.

Q: I tried, but I failed. Can you make it now?
A: No, but we are willing to explain what direction you should try now. We will also, occasionally, provide some scripts.

Q: I tried, but I got an error.
A: Please post the error and the part of the script the error is in.

Q: It says: [insert error here] at line 902134 [or insert any other high-numbered line here]. I cannot find this line in my script
A: Enable developer by doing "set developer 1" or "set developer 2"

Q: This is the 15th time I get that same error in a [tedious] part of my script. Can you guys help me again?
A: Although we are very willing to help everyone, maybe you should try something else, as it seems scripting is just not your piece-of-cake.

V: Persze mindig megpróbálhatod, de írd le ezt a szándékot a topic címében. Ne reménykedj túlságosan azért.

K: Ez azt jelenti, hogy nem kapok majd több segítséget?
V: Egyáltalán nem, csak azt jelenti, hogy mi [a scripterek] kezdjük unni, hogy csak adagoljuk a scripteket mindenkinek, akik meg sem próbálják saját maguk megcsinálni őket, valamint jutalmat sem kapunk érte.

K: Megpróbáltam de nem sikerült. Mostmár elkészítitek?
V: Nem, de hajlandóak vagyunk elmagyarázni merre kéne próbálkoznod most. Valamint néha adhatunk pár példa scriptet.

K: Próbálkoztam de hibát kaptam.
V: Kérlek add meg a hibát, és hogy a script melyik részében van.

K: Azt írja: [hiba] a [sorszám]-adik sorban. Nem találom ezt a sort a scriptemben.
V: Engedélyezd a developer módot, consoleba beírva, hogy: /developer 2

K: Már 15.-jére kapom ugyanazt a hibát a script egy [bonyolult] részében. Tudtok megint segíteni?
V: Persze hajlandóak vagyunk mindenkinek segíteni, de lehet megkéne próbálnod valami mást, mert úgy tűnik a scriptelés nem a te világod.
