Author Topic: CoD 4 Compile Reflections Error

So i compile the BSP just fine, Then i go to compile reflections and this happens:

I followed a guide i find by a simple google search that told me to create a folder named "vision" at the directory (C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\raw\). Inside that folder i made a file called (test2.vision) and inside the .vision file (following the guide) i put:

r_glow "1" // do we want to enable the following 4 lines? / 0 or 1
r_glowRadius0 "X" // radius
r_glowBloomCutoff "X" // has to do with the radius
r_glowBloomDesaturation "X" // de-colourisation of the bloom effect
r_glowBloomIntensity0 "X" // intensity of the bloom effect

r_filmEnable "1" // do we want to enable the following 6 lines? / 0 or 1
r_filmContrast "X" // contrast level
r_filmBrightness "X" // brightness level
r_filmDesaturation "X" // de-colourisation level
r_filmInvert "0" // inverted colours / 0 or 1
r_filmLightTint "R G B" // colour that light places get
r_filmDarkTint "R G B" // colour that dark places get

and i still get the error. Please help D:

(Edit: I made a default.vision file and put the same info in it as i did the test2.vision and i got the following warnings.)

Reflections do not affect vision files. The error is being caused by the vision file itself, in this case you have "R G B" instead of numerical numbers. For example...

and i tryed skipping compiling reflections, and when i tryed to build the fast file i got this:

Okay, I fixed all previous problems, Now it opens backlot instead of my map. I know i saw a post somewhere about fixing this, but i cant find it. D:

K, I fixed everything, But now, when i launch the mp map, i can see some of the terrain through other terrain, like so...
