Can someone tell me if its possible to have a moving brush that can be destroyed. An example of this would be a shooting target that moves when activated by a button, like in a shooting range, but is destroyed when it takes damage.

Any info, suggestions and links to tutorials are appreciated.

I found a tutorial for this but I could not get it to work the way it was said to after a little time I got it to work two different ways.
1 it moves by it self
2 you have to press the button on the right
3 is a rotating brush you can make the rotating brush with nodraw if you want.

Thnx I shall give both a try when I get chance, Just wanted to know if it was possible first because my planned map revolves around this.

Ive only mapper for Q3 engine based games before and it was never possible for the game I mapped for most, the func_rotating brush just rotated and couldn't move along a path like a func_train does although there was a similar entity to func_train but it couldn't take damage, anyway you say the brush moves and I guess I will see when I get to look at your example, but before hand can you tell me if by moving you mean rotating or does it go along a set path.

2 go along a set path and 1 is just a rotating brush
1 of them you have to start it with a button the other will start moving when you load it.
I just put the 3 ways in to give you a choice on how to do it not sure if you can parent the rotating brush to the train some think for another day.
Like you I mapped for Q3 engine game and the train will change the way it is facing when it turns unlike in sof2 and others so you can make a car go round a corner with out any real work it will do it for you.
Not had a look as yet but I think you can set it to bank around a corner as if the road has a taper if you understand what I mean.
