I had a building working...

i edited it later normally but when i compile i see 2 errors and when i run the map i get the old 1 {compile 4 nth}.

You have too many portal cells. This may also cause the problem with the reflection probes so try fixing the portals first and we can go from there.

Not to step on your toes Rasta but Im not sure if he has too many portals as he states that he doesnt even know what they are[biggrin]


My question in all this is how many reflection probes do you have in your map currently? Another question is did you use stock prefabs (buildings that came with the radiant program) or did you make your own buildings? Sometimes the stock prefabs have portals done already (check the windows and doors for a light blue colored texture that says PORTAL on it.

look , i dont need ref probs so i put maybe a couple , i am just testing texture, and yes i did use a couple of stock buildings but i thought of what u said before , so i removed them , i even made a new map but the building i am testing [which i made] causes errors as soon as i put it in a map.

yup..I think u didn't make a skybox?? Check the tuts formaking a skybox.This is needed because otherwis your light wil go into "emptiness" forever.

Ohh btw can I hijack this thread?? I've been wondering what light_probes are needed for. I mean..what do they do??

i am telling u that it worked 100% without a skybox, i am testing the map, i tell u when i edited the building sth went wrong

Ok taz, look closesly at your compile log. It says: WROTE BSP LEAKFILE : D:\GAMES\CALL OF DUTY -MW-\MAP_SOURCE\HOUSE1.LIN

As soon as there is a leak it won't compile. You need to figure out where the leak is and repair it.
