Ok, I just ran through the tutorials on the BF2 website about mapping. After reading the forum posts here, what would you guys say were some tips to look out for when mapping with BF2? Im so used to the quake style mapping this is very new. Noob lol.

The problem I have with BF2 mapping is in the creation of objects (Assets).

Unless you have the exact version of Maya that they used or the patience to manual edit 3DMax files, you can't create your opwn objects. These objects include buildings, vehicles, trees, etc. Otherwise all you can do is create terrain and insert existing objects.

If they have released an exporter for the latest version on Maya, let me know and I'll be happy.

Ok thanks. Well I'm stuck with that seeing as I don't have the money for those programs. Are the maps build directly from terrain and models or do you use brushes aswell?
