Chrome

Have you seen Chrome? I finally ventured over to the Chrome game website and was pleased with what I saw. This game has some truly nice graphics and the game play sounds like fun.

Techland, the developers of Chrome, released news today that their single player demo was delayed and will be rescheduled soon.

I look forward to seeing what comes of this game.... [ There's more ]

Skinning anyone?

"Are you interested in learning more about skinning or texture building here at GDConnect?" This is the question now being asked here in the poll and the forums.

SatansSon is thinking of expanding our minds into more of the gaming realm. He wants to offer support and tutorials for texturing, imaging, and skinning.

If this interests you, I recommend making yourself heard. Your response to our last poll regarding "Do you want to see more mapping101 how-to videos?" is ... [ There's more ]

Games and Brains

Now I am confused, thanks to science. Back in early July, I mentioned an article about how too much game playing can lead to "a decrease in brain activity that affect emotion and creativity". This was a bad thing according the scientists doing the study.

An article today pointed out a new study rega... [ There's more ]

Video Number 2

Just finished the second video in the series of mapping tutorials for SOF2. In this video, I add more area to the map we started and also add a sky.

The video is a bit large, but worth the wait especially if you are still learning to map for SOF2.

You can grab the video right here.... [ There's more ]
