since all xmodels are not solid but they have some cool things in there are there any way that u can make solid ones of them?

Surround them in brushes and use the corresponding clip texture on the brush that matches the object; e.g. metal, etc.

You'll want to cut the brushes so they accurately clip the models though.

IW released with the mod tools the Prefabs/Collmaps of the Xmodels... Right click and go to Misc>>>Prefab and then select the folder 'Misc Models' And then locate the model you want and Boom! Done :D

^^ True. Check in prefabs first for the stuff you want. If it isn't there go to xmodel.

I have been making copies of these and putting them in a seperate fold, puttung the right clip textures on them and then changing the name slightly then putting them in my custom prefab folder [lol]

im not retarded! i know the perfabs thing but xmodels have cooler models in it so yeah lol

or if you have way too much time, dont use models or prefabs! make them urself =)

jk, id do what watter said. open the model, surround it with the clipping and yadda yadda, then save it as a new prefab! then you dont have to do the clipping shingig all the time... im wondering if you can make a patch with the clipping and if that would still work.....?
