O.k... well i bought a new computer in January... I put in a ATI Radeon X850XT graphics card in it. When i first booted it up everything was ok. I installed it a stuff. But on some programs the graphics card is all weird and stuff. Especailly my internet. Most backgrpunds don't load and some texts is way to big. and its not my internet settings. I talked to my internet company and then said it was my graphics card. I havent gotton a hold of ATI yet though... why idk?
But some text on xfire is to big aslo... nothing really weird in games or anything.... and yes my drivers are up to date.
Do any of you know the problem?

Setting - Control panel - Display

Under the sub-menu called 'settings' what is your screen resolution and color quality?

Not sure the size of your PS, but wanted to be sure you knew the 850xt has an extra power connector. If you don't have the power hooked up the card will work but give intermittent problems under load. You PS may have the capacity but you don't have the extra power hooked up perhaps?

He has a 250w power supply, from what info i found on his card, it requires a minimum of 350. But yes the power cable for the card is a easy thing to forget.

yikes 250? I'm seeing where the next generation cards may call for 1,000 watt power supplies; there is already a market for graphics-cards only supplies that slide into a free hard-drive slot on your PC. No need to heat the house in the winter any more....
