Well.. you must be doing something wrong :p.. because as you can see in the tuitorial.. it should work.

You can send me the .map file if you want and I'll have a quick look around

ok.. i tried a quick map of all windwill/fan things and this is what i get.

all my things went to 0,0,0. So yea... I put one in the air and it just did a big circle around 0,0,0. how? idk.. i was expirementing. I know im doing something wrong but i can't figure it out [sad][duh]

As I said.. most likely an origin problem. Go over the tutorial again and do EXACTLY what Wyatt did.

and thats the weird part.. i did?...
Heres my step-by-step process exactly"

1) I make an orgin brush that looks like wyatt's and deselect.
2) I make simple long block blade, copy it (for each side), then intersect them into the orgin brush by 1-4 units then deslect it
3) Then i select everything and rightclick to func>rotating (then in my 2d window it labels it func_rotating)It turns blue in 2d window
4) Then (with it still selected) i press N to bring up the Entry window.
5) I press START_ON and thats it (I've done other things on other fans but stil the same problem)
6) Then i deselect it.
7) Then i compile it with CoDUOMaker (works with COD and stuff too)
8) Then in game it looks like my pic

So thats pretty much my whole process... if you guys cant see my error then ill send a .map to someone and they can find it out.

I'm not sure about this, but it just popped up in my head:

I thought you shouldn't make the origin func_rotating?

The origin brush should definately be in the func_rotate too..

yea i tried that and it does big circles around 0,0,0... but it stays at the right height

I took a quick look...

Well.. for one my computer froze when I loaded the map, so I couldn;t check the map ingame.

Some errors I noticed:

1) I noticed the following error in my compile log:

Entity 0, Brush 0: origin brushes not allowed in world
Entity 0, Brush 11: origin brushes not allowed in world..

" Entity x, Brush x: origin brushes not allowed in world
This error is caused by having an origin brush in your map without having it tied to an entity such as a func_rotating or func_rotating_door."

Brush 11 and brush 0 origin brushes which you did not connect to the func_rotate.

2) The "shredder thing"... has around 9 origin brushes and it's just 1 funct_rotate. One funct_rotate may only have ONE origin brush.

Try something simple.. like just one small rotating brush instead of trying complicated things immediately.
