I'm looking into upgrading my system and I have a question. One of the boards I'm looking at is the ASUS Maximus III Formula LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard with 2 pci-e x1 slots. I already have a GTX 260 pci-e 2 core 216 card. Now if I bought a second card like the first for the other slot would that work for SLI or do they have to be the x16 cards?[confused]

they don't have to be x16 cards. Check the motherboard to confirm it supports sli.
