The Academy of Game Entertainment Technology (G.E.T.), a Hollywood, California school aimed at preparing students for careers in game programming and game design, is now accepting enrollment for its November schedule of classes.

Black Hawk Down delayed again

NovaLogic, Inc.’s upcoming PC shooter, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down has seen its release date pushed back for the second time this month.

The title is now expected to ship in the first quarter of 2003.

Lee Milligan, president of NovaLogic, stated that additional time was needed to polish the game.

Will Rock.. New FPS

We have a new FPS in development titled Will Rock.

"Ubi Soft Entertainment, Inc. has signed a worldwide deal with game developer Saber Rock, in order to publish its upcoming first person shooter for the PC, Will Rock.

The title is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2003, and promises to take gamers on a “journey back to Ancient Greece to face mythological enemies.” The game will contain 10 levels, and feat... [ There's more ]

OpFlashpoint Update

Operation flashpoint has a major patch release.

New features include:

* New weapons - Hunting Rifle, G-17 - silenced version, Revolver
and M-10 sub-machinegun.
* New units - Resistance Sniper soldier, West pilot and West
silenced BlackOp
* New Features - Handguns have no tracers now and are inaccurate

EBGames and G4 Media

A new alliance has been formed between EBGames and G4 Media (gaming television network). They will be actively promoting each other. While EBGames will be sponsoring programs, G4 will be getting sign exposure in stores.

Garage Games Restructures

Garage Games, makes of the Torque engine for such games as Tribes 2 and No One Lives Forever, has announced a completely restructured licensing scheme to new developers.

"Torque to make your game no longer ties you to publishing your game on our site. As long as your company revenues are below $500,000, you can publish your own game without additional royalties or ties to GG.
