I thought I should point out this mapper: BerneyBoy. He publishes his maps under multiple platforms. For example, his Egypt TeamTemple map was built for:

Game Developers Choice Awards

Nominees for the third annual Game Developers Choice Awards have been announced by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). Winners will be announced on March 6 at the Game Developers Conference.

Nokia Wireless Games

Nokia just released news a short while ago about there new game device targeted to the wireless crowd, N-Gage. Now, they are are already announcing some titles for it from THQ Wireless and Taito Corp.

THQ’s wireless division is currently working on MotoGP, MLBPA Players Choice Baseball and a version of Red Faction (cool!).

Taito is developing Puzzle Bobble VS, Taito Memories, a grouping of four of the company’s most popular games and Super Space Invaders.

The concept and dimensions of the Red Legions could never be fully explained with the printed word, and only participation could unveil the spirit and atmosphere of our domain. New Forum only for modders opens at RavenSoft

Rick Johnson from Ravensoft just let us know that a new forum dedicated to community mod and map making was created:

Fifth Annual Independent Games Festival

The Independent Games Festival was established in 1998 by the Gama Network to recognize independent game developers and encourage more people to get into the business. Several winners of past IGF competitions have gone on to have their games published by some of the larger publishing houses.

These 10 finalists were announced in early December and culled from 73 entries. Awards will be presented at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, CA, on March 6. Categories include:
