Genetica 2 Details Revealed

Software development firm Spiral Graphics Inc. today revealed a number of details regarding its upcoming seamless texture editor, Genetica 2. The application, slated for release during the first quarter of 2005, is the much anticipated upgrade to the popular Genetica texture editor.

Valve Software Wins Court Case

In a suit brought to court by Valve Software accusing Sierra Online of copyright infringement in 2002, the U.S. Federal District Court in Seattle, WA has granted its motion for summary judgement concerning "Cyber Café Rights and Contractual Limitation of Liability".

The judge also ruled in favor of a motion by Valve to "recover copyright damages for any infringement as allowed by law without regard to the publishing agreement's limitation of liability clause."... [ There's more ]

IGDA Asks for Union

I received an interesting letter today from the IGDA (International Game Developers Association) Board of Directors. It talks of the horrible working conditions developers are forced to face in the work place and how we need to work together to put this to an end.

I have heard rumors about horrible working conditions. Developers are told to pull over-nighters and work weeks without a break. All this for pretty low pay because there is always another kid out there who can do the... [ There's more ]

HALO 2 released.. what do you think?

So, HALO 2 is finally out and you should have at least gotten a couple hours of gameplay into it by now. I wanna know what you think of it. To be honest, I don't think it's as good as I was expecting... and perhaps that's what is wrong with the game. My expectations were higher due to the marketing of the game; and good marketing it was.

Let me know what you think in the comments here... and to start it off, I will let you know what I think.
