Lawyers suck part 2

Well, apparently this saga continues...

At 8:30am, I was served with some papers that at first glance appear geared towards shutting down modsonline.com.

I am on my way to see my lawyer about what exactly my options are and I will most definitely be keeping you all informed of this as it unfolds...

Well, who knew... lawyers do suck

We can't go into details regarding our current situation right now, but a certain laywer we all know and can't name doesn't like us and the games we play. He's hounding us regarding regarding certain comments made on our MODSonair show and by certain well-known hosts.

Our laywers have advised us to keep our mouths shut. Hopefully we can get things settled before anything is lost. We'll tell you what we can as we know more and are allowed to...

Banner Idea

If you didn't notice about one week ago we took down our Winter / Christmas banner that had snow on our logo with falling snow flakes.

We are out of ideas! Please email me (batistablr@modsonline) with deatiled banner idea for a season (ie Spring, Summer, ETC)

Server Downloads

It came to my attention yesterday that there have been issues downloading files from our server. I traced the problem down to two important things. One is that we have so many members and the other that there is a math problem with the scripting language we were using.

Well, we have implemented some new code for downloading files. This should resolve any issues that were experienced. If anyone comes up with a problem downloading files, please report it immediately so that we can repair ... [ There's more ]

MODSCON 08 Begins

MODSCON - MODSonline Contest - for 2008. Submit a map for Call of Duty 4 and you could win a shirt from MODSonline.com. We accept SP and MP maps, all you have to be is a registered member of the site (that's free btw).

The contest starts now and goes until April 15th. Plenty of time to get that map ready.

Server slowdowns

Yup... just like when CoD2 tools came out, we again are having issues with the release of CoD4 Tools. The server may occassionally slow or even stop working at times. We are just getting hit with that much traffic. We'll do our best to keep it all running for you.... [ There's more ]
