Project IM

Here is a new FPS coming to market. This is an Unreal Engine 3 game in pre-devlopment still looking for a publisher. There is very little information available about this game, BUT.. there are some screenshots and a teaser (with about 1 second of gamplay) available on their website.

Developer: Zero Point Software.

MTV Nabs GameTrailers

Oh well. Another good thing goes down the drain. Apparently MTV has aquired gametrailers.com. I really enjoyed going over to this website to watch game trailers, news, interviews and other things. It was like iptv was starting to gain ground with this site. Now I expect it to turn into something else while MTV digs it's ugly mitts into it.

I hope I'm wrong.

Richard Garriott Joins AIAS Hall of Fame

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) today announced that Richard Garriott, creator of Ultima, will be inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame. This annual award is decided by the AIAS Board of Directors and is given to individuals who have influenced the course of gaming forever. Garriott is the ninth inductee and joins such illustrious company as Yu Suzuki, Will Wright, and Shigeru Miyamoto.

Michigan Violent Game Law Preliminarily Blocked By ESA

According to a statement released by the game trade organization the Entertainment Software Association, and backed up by numerous media reports, a judge has given a preliminary injunction to the ESA blocking the recent passage of a Michigan state bill which will make the sale or rental of mature or adult-rated video games to children illegal. Fraps 2.7.0 Released

The latest Fraps release adds support for the new Logitech® G15™ keyboard.  The G15 features an inbuilt LCD display and with Fraps you can now see an FPS history graph during your gaming sessions.  Reviewers will also like the fact that there is a counter keeping track of timed benchmarks.  For those who prefer recording movies without the overlay on screen you will also find a separate indicator for video capture.

Electronic Arts Will Sell Game Soundtracks Online

There seems to be great demand for every bit of digital content and Electronic Arts is going to capitalize big on that concept.

It plans to offer game soundtracks as music downloads and, to accomplish that, it has just signed an agreement with Network Music Group.
