Quake Phones In

Quake is making it's way to the cell phone market. Pulse Interactive and id software are working to bring Quake to the cell phone. I remember reading something in Carmacks blog about how much easier it was then he expected to program for a cell phone. Get ready for Quake 4

PC Gamer is telling us that the November issue will feature a 10 page Quake IV preview. We'll get to see how Raven Software is doing with this awesome title. The issue is expected to be on the shelves come September 21st. Here's a taste:

Work on Quake 4

Lead Programmer Rick Johnson has put out word that they are looking to hire a "User Interferce designer" over at Raven Software to work on Quake 4.
This person will be responsible for both creating in-world UI’s ( control panels, consoles, information panels, etc) as well as player interface menus for a Doom3 based product. Work on Quake IV

Want a chance to Quake IV? Your chance may be here. Raven Software is looking for qualified individuals to work on the Quake 4 PC title. They need a techinical artist for textures, shaders, modeling and the like.

Fake Q4 Footage

Shacknews is reporting that there has been a number of comments regarding supposed footage of Quake IV. Rick Johnson of idSoftware responds with the following comment:

"Just wanted to make a quick update in saying that there has been a recent flood of fake Quake4 movies and trailers. Everything on the internet is fake and nothing Quake4 related has ever been released, except for the one piece of concept art released at the initial announcement of the project."... [ There's more ]
